My goodness how quickly things can change in this life. As you know, Joplin was hit by a massive tornado on May 22nd. Our church building was heavily damaged with the sanctuary being torn off. We praise the Lord that no one in the building was injured.
Because of the damage to our building, we are meeting on Sunday mornings for Worship in the classrooms of the Seth Wilson Library at Ozark Christian College. OCC has stepped up and been a valuable asset to our community during aftermath of the storm.
Many of our church families had home and/or vehicle damage but I am glad to report we continue strong in our faith and positive in our attitudes.
I will try and keep ya posted on the progress of repairs and the overall recovery efforts for our congregation and our community. We have been amazed at all the volunteers and truly thank God for all their hard work and great support.
It has been overwhelming to see the blessings of God in the midst of such destruction and chaos. He continues to prove himself faithful and good.
